Underwater Bay Grass Planting: NOAA Staff

Approximately 20 NOAA volunteers planted 50 trays of widgeon and redhead underwater Bay grasses grown in 17 systems throughout NOAA's Silver Spring, MD campus. Grasses were planted in a 3x8 meter rectangle at about 0.6 m deep during low tide. Salinity was 12.6 ppt, water clarity was good for this site and time of year and Secchi depth was 0.9 meters.
