Virginia Event

In Virginia, over 40 NOAA employees joined Virginia's Secretary of Natural Resources L. Preston Bryant, Jr. and over 40 staff from several local organizations to restore a portion of the James River at the Virginia Commonwealth University’s Rice Center for Environmental Education.  Volunteers planted native marsh grasses, cleared debris from the James River shoreline, and participated in the release of an Atlantic sturgeon.
