hands planting seedsIn 2008, 22 underwater Bay grass (SAV) grow tanks were distributed among the Silver Spring NOAA offices listed below. Tank supplies were distributed during the bay grass workshop on March 10. Most offices set-up their tanks within a few days of the workshop. Plants grow for approximately 3 months, until they are planted during NOAA Restoration Day in June. In 2008, we grew Wild Celery (Vallisneria Americana).
