NOAA Restoration Day: Bay Grass

sp tank setup In 2009, 22 underwater Bay grass (SAV) grow tanks were distributed among the Silver Spring NOAA offices listed below. Tank supplies were distributed during the bay grass workshop on April 2. Most offices set-up their tanks within a few days of the workshop. Plants grow for approximately 3 months, until they are planted during NOAA Restoration Day in June. In 2009, we are growing both Wild Celery (Vallisneria Americana) and Water Stargrass (Heteranthera dubia).
